The 2.7-liter turbo inline-four engine is an entry-level engine that offers 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. It is known for its fuel efficiency making it a compelling choice for buyers who prioritize eco-friendliness. The 2.7L engine accelerates from 0-60 mph in 7.1 seconds.

The 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine delivers 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque while the 5.3-L engine delivers 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. The  6.2-liter V8  on the other hand offers 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.

The 2024 Silverado 1500 also handles quite well despite its hefty size. It features an advanced suspension system providing it with a comfortable ride even on rough terrain. However, some drivers may feel the Silverado 1500’s steering lacks enough feedback and is too light.

Body roll can be noticeable when making aggressive maneuvers and cornering but in general, the 2024 Silverado handles admirably whether it’s for everyday driving or offroad driving.

Maintenance Schedule

According to Chevrolet, Silverado 1500 owners should service their trucks after every 7,500 Miles. This normally includes; oil change, replacement oil filter, battery inspection, tire inspection, wheel alignment, and wiper examination to ensure clear visibility.

After clocking 22,000 miles, the Silverado 1500’s engine air filter, and fuel filter, will likely be ready for replacement. A  clogged air filter can lead to decreased fuel efficiency and reduced performance while a worn-out fuel system can lead to contaminants affecting the fuel system.
