CVT Belt Issues
Some owners have reported the CVT belt wearing out prematurely. This problem results in shuddering, and slipping of gears and sometimes can lead to complete failure.
Transmission Fluid Problems
This issue is in most cases due to using contaminated transmission fluid, Incorrect fluid levels, and failure to change the fluid in the recommended duration as per the Crosstrek Owner’s Manual.
Delayed Engagement
Some Subaru Crosstrek owners may experience this issue and is often caused by issues with the hydraulic system. Main symptoms include; delays when shifting gears and the vehicle taking longer than usual to move.
